SkyTrak GSPro setup
SkyTrak is not on GSPro's own supported list, so the route differs from the R10 or MLM2PRO. Players connect it through GSPro's OpenAPI option with a community-built interface. It works for many people, and it has more moving parts than a built-in connector.

Connect a SkyTrak to GSPro in six steps
Work through these in order. If a step differs from GSPro's own guide, follow GSPro's.
- 1
Check the current status
Look at GSPro's launch monitor list and SkyTrak's resources site. SkyTrak is not on GSPro's list at the time of writing, and that can change. Know that you are taking the OpenAPI route before you buy.
- 2
Buy the OpenAPI option
On the GSPro site, choose Other (OpenAPI) at checkout. Install GSPro and enter your license key.
- 3
Get the SkyTrak interface
The interface is built by the community, not made by GSPro or SkyTrak. Players get it through the Simulator Golf Tour community on Discord. Use the version that community points you to, and read its current notes.
- 4
Pick a SkyTrak connection mode
SkyTrak offers Direct, Network, and USB modes, and its resources site has a guide for each. If you get dropouts over WiFi, move to USB mode. It takes WiFi out of the chain.
- 5
Start the interface, then GSPro
Open the interface and check the status for both the device and GSPro. When both show connected, open GSPro and load a course. If one side is red, fix it before you hit shots.
- 6
Test with real shots
Hit a handful of shots and watch for misses. SkyTrak reads the ball with cameras, so poor room lighting can cause missed shots that look like connection trouble.
Where SkyTrak setups go wrong
WiFi dropouts
Forum threads about dropouts in Direct mode often end with a switch to USB mode. USB removes WiFi from the chain.
Two networks on one PC
In Direct mode the PC joins the SkyTrak's own WiFi, which can cut its internet. Use Ethernet for internet, or use USB mode. Keep your phone on your home network. If the Course Control QR code does not connect, type the PC's home network address by hand. The Help page has the steps.
Lighting and the ball
Camera-based monitors need to see the ball. Even light and a clean ball help. If shots go missing, test the lighting before you rebuild the connection.
An unofficial interface can break
A community interface can stop working after a GSPro or SkyTrak update. Note the version you use, and check the community before you update GSPro in the middle of a season.
Official reference: SkyTrak: setup guides · GSPro: Open Connect documentation. GSPro and the launch monitor makers update their steps often, so check the current version if something here no longer matches.
Course Control does not care which SkyTrak mode you use
It only needs your phone and the PC on the same network. In USB mode the PC stays on your home network, so the QR code connects as usual. Scan it, then change clubs, drop the grid, or move the camera from your stance. See how it works.
SkyTrak and GSPro FAQ
Does SkyTrak work with GSPro?
Yes, through GSPro's OpenAPI option and a community-built interface. SkyTrak is not on GSPro's own supported list at the time of writing, so confirm the current status before you buy.
Which GSPro option do I buy for a SkyTrak?
Other (OpenAPI), from the launch monitor menu on the GSPro site.
Should I use USB, Direct, or Network mode with GSPro?
Forum threads often suggest USB mode because it removes WiFi dropouts. In Direct mode the PC joins the SkyTrak's own WiFi. Follow SkyTrak's guide for whichever mode you pick.
Why does GSPro miss my SkyTrak shots?
Check the interface first: both the device side and the GSPro side should show connected. Then check the connection mode and the room lighting, since SkyTrak reads the ball with cameras.
Can I control GSPro from my phone with a SkyTrak?
Yes. Course Control runs over your local network and does not depend on how your SkyTrak connects. Install it on the PC, scan the QR code, and use your phone for clubs, grid, camera, and the other menus.

Once the SkyTrak is connected, stop walking to the PC
Course Control turns the GSPro controls you use most into buttons on your phone. Scan a QR code and play. $30 one-time after the free trial, no subscription.
