FlightScope Mevo+ GSPro setup

GSPro supports the FlightScope Mevo+ and Mevo Gen2, along with the Xi, X2, and X3. The Mevo+ connects over WiFi only. That puts your PC on a second network, which is a common source of trouble.

Connect the Mevo+ to GSPro in six steps

Work through these in order. If a step differs from GSPro's own guide, follow GSPro's.

  1. 1

Get the Mevo+ working in FS Golf first

Install the FS Golf app, power on the unit, and connect to it. Register the Mevo+ when the app asks. Confirm it reads a shot in FS Golf before you bring GSPro into it.

  2. 2

    Place the unit

FlightScope places the Mevo+ about 8 feet (2.4 m) behind the ball for full swings. Leave room in front of the ball for the shot to travel to your screen or net.

  3. 3

Get the FlightScope edition of GSPro

New buyers choose Flightscope on the GSPro site. If you are moving from another monitor, clear your old GSPro Connect settings first. GSPro has a short article on how.

  4. 4

Join the Mevo+ WiFi from the PC

The Mevo+ makes its own WiFi network. Join it from the PC. GSPro's FlightScope guide explains where the network password comes from.

  5. 5

    Keep the PC online

GSPro needs the internet. Joining the Mevo+ network usually cuts the PC off from your home WiFi. Give it a second path: wired Ethernet to your router, or a second WiFi adapter. Plan this before your first round.

  6. 6

    Start GSPro and pick FlightScope

Launch GSPro, open GSPro Connect, and choose the FlightScope option. When GSPro shows the unit as connected, hit a few test shots.

Where Mevo+ setups go wrong

Two networks on one PC

With the PC on the Mevo+ network and on Ethernet at the same time, Windows has two networks. Keep your phone on your home network, the one your Ethernet connection uses. If the Course Control QR code does not connect, type the PC's home network address by hand. The Help page has the steps.

Mevo+ or Mevo Gen2

GSPro lists both. The Mevo+ supports WiFi only, so do not plan a cable run for it. Other FlightScope units can use a wired connection.

Old GSPro Connect settings

If this is not your first launch monitor, old settings can block the new connection. Clear them before you start.

Official reference: GSPro: FlightScope guide. GSPro and the launch monitor makers update their steps often, so check the current version if something here no longer matches.

Keep the phone on the PC's main network

Course Control controls GSPro over your local network, separate from the Mevo+ link. Keep your phone on the same network as the PC's main connection, the one with internet, then scan the QR code. If the code does not connect, see the two-network note above. See how it works.

Mevo+ and GSPro FAQ

Does the FlightScope Mevo+ work with GSPro?

Yes. GSPro lists the Mevo+, Mevo Gen2, Xi, X2, and X3. The Mevo+ connects over WiFi, and you pick FlightScope in GSPro Connect.

Can I connect the Mevo+ to GSPro with a cable?

No. GSPro says the Mevo+ supports WiFi only. Other FlightScope devices can connect over a wired LAN.

How far behind the ball does the Mevo+ go for GSPro?

FlightScope places it about 8 feet (2.4 meters) behind the ball. Follow FlightScope's setup guide for alignment and for the room you need in front of the ball.

Why does my internet drop when the PC joins the Mevo+ network?

The Mevo+ makes its own WiFi network, and a PC joined to it usually loses its other WiFi connection. Connect the PC to your router with an Ethernet cable, or add a second WiFi adapter, so GSPro still has internet.

Can I use Course Control with a Mevo+?

Yes. It runs over your local network. Keep your phone on the same network as the PC's main connection and scan the QR code. If the code does not connect, type the PC's home network address by hand.

Once the Mevo+ is connected, stop walking to the PC
