From install to first shot in three steps.
Install on your PC
Install Course Control from the Microsoft Store on your Windows PC. It connects to GSPro and starts with Windows.
Scan the QR code
Open Course Control and scan the on-screen QR with any phone or tablet on your WiFi. No app store, no IP addresses, nothing to configure.
Play from the tee
Change clubs, view the heat map, take a mulligan, all from your phone. The full set of controls is below.
Every control you reach for, one tap away.
Nobody memorizes 40+ keyboard shortcuts mid-round. Course Control turns the ones you actually use into labeled, color-coded buttons, a glance away.
Club & tee
Step up and down through the bag. Nudge the ball left or right in the tee box. The two things you do before every swing, straight from your phone.
Aim point
Set your aim and read the break without leaving the tee. Drag the aim across the green and the break line shows how hard the putt turns.
Heat map
Pull up the green's heat map to read the slope at a glance. Warm reds fall steep, cool blues sit flat, so you see the break before you putt.
Shot cam & flyover
Pull up the shot cam to watch the ball fly. Run the flyover to scope the hole before you hit.
Trackpad mode
Your phone is the mouse and keyboard too. Swipe to move the cursor, tap to click, scroll with the buttons down the side. A live keyboard types player names straight into GSPro. Pick a ball, set up a scramble, click any menu from the mat.
Plus mulligan, scorecard, pin, green grid, range finder, hide UI, switch hand, and the full aim d-pad. A More tab holds the practice and camera controls: go to ball, jump between holes, clear the shot trace, go fullscreen. All one tap away, color-coded by what they do.
Your shots stay on your WiFi.
Course Control is a local tool. It controls your own PC over your own network. No cloud relay, no account, nothing phoning home.
Stays on your WiFi
Button presses go straight from your phone to your PC. Nothing routes through our servers. The controls never touch the internet.
Safe by default
Safety mode only fires inputs when GSPro is the active window. Alt-tab away and the remote goes quiet on its own.
No account, nothing hidden
No login, no password to remember, no account to create. The site keeps basic anonymous analytics, and you can switch the phone-app stats off under Help → Privacy.
Common questions
Everything most people ask before they install.
Is Course Control available now?
Yes. Course Control is available now from the Microsoft Store for Windows 10 and 11. A 14-day free trial runs on first launch with no card, then it is $30 one-time with no subscription.
Can I control GSPro from my iPhone?
Yes. Course Control turns any iPhone into a GSPro remote. Install it on the Windows PC that runs GSPro, then scan the on-screen QR code with your iPhone. The controller opens in Safari with no App Store download. Add it to your home screen for a full-screen, app-like feel.
Does it work on iPad and Android tablets?
Yes. Because the controller is a web page, it works the same on iPad, Samsung Galaxy Tab, Amazon Fire, and any Android phone or tablet as it does on iPhone. The larger tablet screen fits more buttons. Prop it by the hitting mat and play.
What devices work?
Phone side: anything with a browser on the same WiFi. iPhone, Android, iPad, a laptop, a Chromebook, even a spare tablet on a stand by the screen. No phone app required, scan the QR. PC side: install from the Microsoft Store and it connects to GSPro.
Does it need internet?
Controls work over local WiFi only. Your phone sends button presses directly to your PC, no internet needed for that. The app does use the internet for the initial license check, for update checks, and (if left on) to send anonymous usage data from the phone controller so we can see which controls people use. This website also uses basic anonymous analytics. You can turn the phone analytics off in Help, then Privacy, and the privacy page covers all of it.
Does it work with multiple monitors?
Yes. Run GSPro fullscreen on one screen and keep a video, scorecard, or browser on the other. Safety mode checks whether GSPro is the active window, not which monitor it is on, so click GSPro to give it focus and your controls land there.
What if GSPro loses focus or controls stop working?
GSPro only reads shortcuts while it is the active window, so clicking away from it pauses your controls. That is normal Windows behavior, not a bug. Click back onto GSPro and they resume. Safety mode drops input while GSPro is not focused and the phone tells you, so a stray tap never reaches your desktop. There is a full walkthrough in the fix GSPro losing focus guide.
Is this a cheaper alternative to a GSPro control box?
Yes. A hardware control box runs a few hundred dollars and does one thing. Course Control is $30 one-time and turns a phone or tablet you already own into the controller, with no app to install. The compare page has the full side-by-side against boxes and subscription apps.
Are updates really free forever?
Yes. Updates arrive automatically through the Microsoft Store, like any other Windows app. Every update to the version you bought is free, forever. When major new features ship as a new release (Course Control 2.0), that will be a separate purchase. Existing customers get a discount, and recent buyers upgrade free. Your original version always keeps working.
What happens after the trial?
Course Control stops accepting new connections until you enter a license key. Your session history is preserved.
Can I use it on multiple PCs?
Your license activates on one machine at a time. If you get a new PC, you can transfer it yourself: open Course Control on the old PC and deactivate the license, then enter your key on the new one. No need to contact support.
