01

Launch monitor

The core of the whole setup. It reads your shot and feeds the data to GSPro. Everything else is built around it.

Pick one that GSPro supports through GSPro Connect or the OpenAPI. This is where most of the budget goes, so research it first.

02

Impact screen and enclosure (or a net)

Somewhere to hit into. An impact screen in an enclosure doubles as your display. A net is cheaper if you watch the game on a TV.

Match the enclosure to your ceiling height and swing room. Measure before you buy.

03

Hitting mat

Protects your floor and your joints, and gives a consistent surface. A good mat that takes repeated full-swing punishment is worth it.

Look for a forgiving surface and a stance area large enough for your setup.

04

Projector (if using a screen)

Throws the GSPro picture onto the impact screen for the full immersive view. Skip it if you play off a TV.

Short-throw projectors fit tight rooms. Match brightness and throw distance to your space.

05

A capable Windows PC

GSPro renders detailed courses in real time and is Windows only. A dedicated graphics card makes a real difference.

Check the current GSPro recommended spec before buying. The PC also runs your launch monitor software.

06

A phone remote (Course Control)

We make this

GSPro maps its menus to keyboard shortcuts, so without a remote you reach for the keyboard between every shot. Course Control puts those controls on your phone as labeled buttons.

Scan a QR code, no app to install on the phone, signals stay on your WiFi. $30 one-time, 14-day free trial. This is the one we make.

GSPro accessories FAQ

What accessories do I need for a GSPro golf simulator?

At minimum: a supported launch monitor, a Windows PC, a hitting mat, and something to hit into (an impact screen in an enclosure or a net). Most people add a projector for the immersive view and a phone remote so they are not reaching for the keyboard between shots.

What is the most important GSPro accessory?

The launch monitor. It reads your shot and is what GSPro depends on, so it gets the most research and the most budget. Make sure it is supported by GSPro before you buy.

Do I need a projector for GSPro?

No. A projector and impact screen give the full immersive view, but you can play perfectly well off a TV or monitor with a hitting net. The projector is a comfort upgrade, not a requirement.

How do I control GSPro without walking to the keyboard?

Use a phone remote. Course Control turns the GSPro shortcuts you use most into buttons on your phone or tablet. You scan a QR code, with no app to install, and tap to change clubs, drop the grid, take a mulligan, and move the camera without leaving your stance.

Is a phone remote worth it for a golf sim?

If you play full rounds, yes. The launch monitor handles the shot, but the menus still run on keyboard shortcuts. A phone remote keeps your hands free and your stance intact, which matters more the more you play. Course Control is $30 one-time with a free trial.

The cheapest upgrade on this list

Course Control turns the GSPro controls you use most into buttons on your phone. Scan a QR code and play. $30 one-time after the free trial, no subscription.
